if you know where to look you can get dp and cubase for free, i was recommending the best thing for the job, try torrents kick ass or audiofarm or edonkey i used audacity for a short while and it is not a very good programme at all. take your time and look for the good stuff don't rush and end up with an average result, just because it is pro software doesn't mean it is hard to use or that you cannot find it. also protools has a free version that gives you 8channels of audio also a pro software but available. nothing wrong with giving good advice, next time i wont worry about it.
