The places to be now are Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain, both on the east side - have a look at the Time Out Berlin link here. Also have a look at local listings may Zitty, who have a website here. There's a great cinema in Berlin called Arsenal - details here. Aim to have a look around the Reichstag - it looks well impressive from outside, and apparently it's even better once you're in there. If it's a sunny day, you could do a lot worse than wander down to the park near Brandenburg Gate. Kreuzberg's not what it was, but there's still some bars which may still have that old Blixa Bargeld charm.
