Chris Habib
Chris Habib is an NYC born and bred maker of things that just make trouble. Often straddling several mediums simultaneously, he's given up labeling himself as anything else. He's recently directed Americans to steal from one another, replacing the stolen objects with more sensible simulacra via his "Support Subversion" project. Another recent large-scale project he acted as graphic designer on was mounted in the windows of a building overlooking the former site of the Word Trade Center during the August RNC protests in New York and was the focus of numerous NYPD and Secret Service requests for removal. With collaborator Thurston Moore, Chris also co-founded and designed the www.protest-records.com website. Lately he's been feeding his political graffiti habit and introducing politically repressed New York protestors to the bunker-world of firearms--in the very ranges that the NYPD and FBI turn to after-hours for the staccato projection of lead-round after lead-round.
