I can be very introverted in public. I mean, if somebody talks to me, I don't get all wierd or anything, I can hold a good conversation, and even throw in a couple witty remarks. But I am not very assertive and I rarely start conversations. And when I am buying CDs, I never start conversations with the dude at the store. being social doesn't mean telling funny stories to the guy at record stores.
if you can maintain a decent conversation with someone, call yourself social.
