I hate fucking sell outs

If you experiment or try a new direction in your music, or your band's music because you honestly love said music (like neil young doing a country record, or if thurston was heavy into polka and sonic youth released a polka album) that is fine and dandy and I love it

If , however, you change the direction in your music or your band's music because you know that the "new" direction is what is selling and you want to make money, (Liz Phair's last album produced to sound just like avril lavigne and her ilk) then YOU ARE A SELL OUT!

sell out is perfectly valid insult. fucking sell out bastards. They know who they are.

when you lose that core audience YOU ARE FINISHED!
