I waited 17 hours to get one of these................. for my girlfriend.
The wii is okay. It's just like every Nintendo system since N64: there'll be like ten or so AMAZING games and tons of shit in between. That being said, Nintendo is going in the right direction by emphasizing fun and innovation instead of OH MY GOD 4D GRAPHIXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!! (seriously, that Gays of War game is just the same old first person shooter crap with a more metallic look -- who gives a fuck?). I hated the XBox, but the Xbox360 seems okay enough, but the PS3 just seems like shit. My problem with the wii will inevitably be that the games won't feature enough depth. Sure, there's Zelda, but where at the RPG's at (Zelda doesn't count...)? And if anyone designs an RPG for the Wii, it'll probably force that dumb controller on you. So, yeah, if I absolutely had to get one of the three systems for myself, I'd... sigh.. unfortunately get Xbox360... it has Resident Evil 5 coming for it and at least some decent RPG's already. The wii, though, with its cheap price and short and quirky games, is probably just fine for people who can't invest much time into gaming. As for the PS3... well, I didn't even think the PS2 was that great (except Rez, Katamari, Ico, a few really amazing RPG's, but yeah)... and the PS3 seems a million times worse. Fuck that.
