We don't know that yet although like I said above I doubt very much its the original pumpkins. Certainly Billy and Jimmy love working together (Jimmy was Billy's best man). I wasn't really talking specifically about the Pumpkins. I was talking generally about bands staying together for long periods of time or reuniting. I can see why if you enjoy playing with people you may want to continue. In Billy's case I think it has to do with him being in love with the idea of the Smashing Pumpkins. If you read interviews he has done over the years he seems to have a lot of affection for that whole 90's GenX, Alt-Rock thing or whatever you may wish to call it. The Pumpkins represent for him the perfect manifestation of all the ideas of that period. I don't think he was ever ready to let that go. The Pumpkins was always to much a part of him.
