god, I wish they'd move ATP back to Camber Sands... Butlins at Minehead really just doesn't compare. In pretty much every way.
No matter how good the line-ups are.. after my first experience at Minehead it's always tempered by a feeling of "ugh.. Butlins-Minehead".
Anyone who experienced ATP-at-Pontins-in-Camber-Sands before ATP-at-Butlins-in-Minehead will say the same. No queues, everything closer together, an upstairs-downstairs venue arrangement so you could just run up and down (through a giant purple octapus and up some stairs) between acts or during.. with nothing but air-hockey and pinball machines in between.. no constant flashing of wristbands (once you were in you were in).. no restrictive separate colour wristbands.. no getting turned away from closed doors because of overcrowding... it was just a better place to hold the festival.
whiney whiney whiney.. bitch bitch bitch...
