You indie bastards

There are bands that are great (Like Sonic Youth) and give you a multilayered 'experience' and then there are just bands that write fun, no-brainer singalong Pop music for the kids (Paramore, GreenDay, Blink 182). Its not meant to be particularly groundbreaking or revolutionary its just pure fun. It's like comparing a birthday card to fine art. To take it too seriously or hold it to any standard is to miss the point entirely.

You can be elitist about it but Fall Out Boy, MCR, 'insert band all the cool kids have to hate' occasionaly write a song you can dance and sing to when it comes on the radio. Granted I wouldn't spend my money on buying a Paramore album. Hell, a whole album of that 'shes a bitch and im better for you' shit would drive me up-the-wall too! But whats wrong with a bit of chesse ever-so-often? Miserable killjoys the lot of you...
