i didn't care for the vocals then, i'm not a big fan now. they just seem silly and gimmicky and ridiculous. they're not BAD, they're just.. i can't explain it. it seems like they said, "let's do vocals. but let's make em WEIRD!" instead of "let's do vocals that sound good over the music we're playing." you know? props to them for doing it, but now we have to hear every magazine/website in the world go "BATTLES INVENTED THE PITCHSHIFTER!!!!" and "IT SOUNDS LIKE MERRY LITTLE ELVES PLAYING PROG MATH ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" but anyway, yeah, battles rock, they are just so ridiculously talented and listenable.
