wow2 is also amazing.

really underrated.

i'm actually wearing a boredoms shirt right now, haha.. boredoms have been my life since i picked up pop tatari in middle school.. 8th grade, just discovering the locust, big black, melt banana, atari teenage riot, and then... naked city - torture garden. get on a message board, "if you like this, check out pop tatari." so, i checked it out.. wow. it shaped my perception of music.

and what's really weird about MY music is how many people compare it to the boredoms. which is odd, because i never set out to be like the boredoms.. but then i kind of think about the boredoms now... and i realize that the true embodyment and spirit of the boredoms is freedom. freedom and release. they never strayed from anything in the early years: punk to funk to disco to rap to rock to tribal beats to whatever.. and after super ae, they traveled to heaven or something. just.. amazing. i dunno. transcends words.

"super going" has to be my all time favorite song. from the rain soaked guitar building and building and building to that fucking part where the cd skips and the entire song changes.. god. i've heard that song 500 times and it still gives me chills.

boredoms for life.
