The best way to go about picking college courses is choosing ones that you would have difficulty learning about on your own. Hence why university is generally a waste - anyone with initiative can usually educate themselves. You only get your money's worth if you take courses in which outside instruction actually benefits you.
No offense, but I suspect university is the WORST place to learn about the birth of punk rock. Unless you're into trendified regurgitation.

It's only a one hour course taught on a pass/fail scale, so I wasn't expecting a total punk rock education, just an easy class with about twenty people that I have some interest in.
