I am constantly looking for new and interesting sounds, "rock" or no.
I have gone through phases where "rock" was just not gonna go anywhere near me, but the pendulum always swings back and forth. Certainly I have spent a lot of time with abstract music, modern classical, "chamber prog" groups like Art Zoyd and the like, tons of folk music and of course soundtracks and incidental film music.
I do enjoy digging deep in the past on occasion. I miss working at the used record mailorder place for this very reason. So many undiscovered gems and intriguing rabbitholes to explore there.
