agree about kids digging the old stuff like that...

i'm a fan of Dinosaur's early work up 'til Green Mind, then J. got crazy w/ the production adding dozens of overdubbed guitar solo theatrics on those subsequent albums, which to me makes them an unlistenable muddy mess of guitar wankery... but he's still one hell of guitarist. Though i only occassionally go back and listen to thearly stuff because it speaks of a certain period of my life, some of that music doesn't hold well over time...

btw, he does a number of his trademark el. guitar solos on Thurston's new album "Trees Outside the Academy" that actually sound nice and work well.
