BTW- you don't realize how fat america is until you leave and see how thin every countries are. Everytime I saw a fat person, I could instantly identify them as an American.
People thought I was German, and several turkish guys spoke German to me, and even with my horrible german accent and grammar still thought I was German. Even with my american accent speaking english, people weren't sure I was american. So yay me!
Oh, on the cruise ship the other night they did a big July 4th thing (even though it was the 3rd, it was our last day) and there were a lot of UK'ers, and some of them didn't know what July the 4th was all about. Then again, the ship did Canada the same day, and I can't tell you what it signifies exactly, although I'd assume it would be Canada's independence.
