Okay so I've had tickets from the BEGINNING to see the 31st August, friday night show.
My band booked a show for us down the road at the underworld, for the same night. Yeah it's total bullshit, they didn't ask me, I am furious.
Basically, I have two options that i'm hoping someone here can bring me some peace with.
I'm taking my girlfriend, we're both really excited BUT I wouldn't mind going to one of the other dates, that'd be cool, particularly the Saturday. I DO realise though that there are about 8 other limp tramps in the other thread trying to do this too and I'm right at the bottom of that list so it doesn't sound like i'm going to get away with that one
Otherwise, I am going to have to play the gig. It takes about like... 10-15 mins max to walk from the underworld to the roundhouse, i'm going to arrange for us to play first, this will be at like 7.30pm. we'll play a half hours set. I have never been to the roundhouse before and know nothing of the arrangements that sy have for this don't look back mini-tour : the site says there is support TBC. I am hoping there will be two bands and they will play about 30 mins each?
Does anyone think I'll have a problem, if I was to run at 8.00 (or walk fast with my girlfriend) to the venue, there's NO WAY sonic youth will be on then will there? They'll DEFINITELY get some support bands right? And seating? The venue's a seated place right, I won't have any problem getting a seat, i mean we do have the seat numbers on the tickets..
and they won't stop letting people in at all will they? fuck!! being a theatre atmosphere and the likes.
i'm really worried about this as i am sure you can read, please - someone set my mind at rest!!
