besides, some of the past threads have been fantastic, with tons of suggestions, people who are trying to check more stuff up can definitely check those out and discover new stuff. when you start a new thread every week a) the past threads get sunk to the bottom of every search and b) people who already posted on those threads seldom post again.

it's not so much for because it's annoying, but because it becomes redundant. no wonder, most people here don't even read other people's posts, they only want to start threads and type posts to get noticed anyway.
