Even the good groups mentioned here so far have released more rubbish than quality. (Assuming we're dealing with generic 'girl groups' a la Girls Aloud, Sugababes, etc., rather than the likes of The Slits, etc.) It's probably more useful then to talk about great individual songs rather than groups.
