The 'original' very quickly become the soporific, the cliched. The innovative is a good category, 'good' is both best and least useful.

Having eschewed 'originality' in the general use (it doesn't describe anything, neither itself nor its object), I'm still fascinated with how some things manage to be unlike other things.
