Absolutes are fleeting at best, but paradoxically, originality as an ideal unto itself can exist. As Robby-Trip-Instigator mentioned, we love people like Dali and Duchamp, because they embody the spirit of originality; they are; if you like; the mortal personifications of an immortal ideal. Their work transcends the boundaries of what originality is defined by and become the paragon of absoluteness. So, Green-Mind and Robo Tripper, you guys are both right, somewhat. Just my opinion...
