Saw Autechre "live" and it was really fucking boring, but I still love their records.

Now that Green River is no more (and I doubt the reunion tour will count), I do enjoy listening to the old Sub Pop records for nostalgia, but they don't really come anywhere near the intensity of what they were like on stage in '85. I wouldn't give the albums the time of day back then because of it.

I saw the Fabulous Wailers play with Girl Trouble a few years ago and was somewhat shocked to find that they weren't playing like a nostalgia act at all. They tore it up like nobody's business. I seriously doubt if they recorded a new record of that same set that it would translate though.
