Now, !@#$%!, "pagan" just means non-christian. Those pagans really do take halloween very seriously. mardi gras is hell on earth for me. worst time of my LIFE. and, how can you say death is tabbooo here? every ten seconds grisly death is displayed for all to see on television, movies, commercials, etc. america is all about the fascination with sex and death.

yeah im not a halloween fascist-- if it's not your thing, it's a free country. i don't feel there is the same level of social pressure to comply with halloween as there is with "christmas"

now about the pagan thing... yeah i was not being technical.

and i want mardi gras... pour out the unconscious into the streets

now, yes, death is taboo in mainstream america. tv death is all about "other people", but "we" are nice and clean and cheerful and when people ask us how are you doing we answer "fine!" and we say "have a nice day!".
