I majored in German and Russian. It's pretty fun. Growing up in rural North America (esp. Canada), you don't really get much chance to hear anything but english, or french, whereas many of my european friends have been speaking several languages most of their lives. As far as work is concerned.... majoring in languages is not that fruitful unless you pursue a Masters for Secondary Education(university level), or go overseas to teach.
