Well I would not say cultural diversity, since the majority consists of first generation Americans, so it will take a while before it gets equilibrated into the mainstream thought. My parents always encouraged us to be different, that is why they moved to the suburbs instead of staying in L.A. Also it depends how traditional the parents are to the old country, my parents seem to be more Americanized than most that I know. The thing about the homosexual is still a mystery to me, my parents disagree with it, but I don't think they would say they are sinners and all that crap. But most hispanics that I know are trying to be differnet now, than following the crowd. I don't know if this makes sense.
