The best papers have been bought out by the same 4-5 media companies in the US...no wonder we can invade, occupy and kill 600,000 people without complaint.

The NY Times is probably the best regarded (and it is a joy to see everyday) but Chomsky has plenty to say about its biases, and of course served the
Bushies well in the runup to the invasion and occupation of Iraq. The Wash Post used to be extremely well regarded, but has proven to be a shill for the Govt bureaucracy. The Boston Globe, LA Times and SF Chronicle used to all be decent papers.

I was so pleased by the plethora of papers in London last year. Even if some wear their politics in their banner, there is a variety of opinions, not just one view. London Times, the Observer and the Guardian are decent papers. In nYC we got shit, its so bad the Daily News and NY Post frequently have the same photo AND headline on the front page.
