Okay, I was an.. uhm.. "original" DEP fan (from their self-titled days; Under the Running Board, Calculating Infinity, and their splits with Drowningman and Nora blew my fucknig mind at 14 years old).. but Miss Machine was shit. Pure fucking shit. Just terrible. Greg is such a worthless vocalist. He sounds like a fucking idiot. He can't decide if he wants to be Trent Reznor, Dimitri, or Mike Patton -- and he ends up sounding dumber than that Horse the band fucker. Plus, their songs on that album that sounded kinda like Linkin Park (if you don't believe me, go back and listen) were an embarassment. I know they were, uh "trying to do something different", but yeah. It sucked ass. I haven't heard the new one; I'll give it a fair assessment, but yeah. I really really don't like the direction they're going on, and I doubt it'll be any good (not to mention that pretty much all their members left).

I don't think they've "sold out" or whatever, I just think they create music that isn't very good anymore.

Still, I'd see 'em live again. Saw 'em live many years ago, and they had a firebreather on stage. So much fucking energy. Awesome.
