I lived in Salt Lake City for 9 years ('77-'86).
Mormons are the reason why I hate people for who they are.
consequently, they are also the why I don't hate people for what they are.
after moving to Utah from Seattle, it didn't take long before everybody knew I wasn't Mormon.
it didn't take me long to make the logical conclusion that if I was suffering discrimination based solely upon something that you cannot see (ie: my religion or lack of it), I could only imagine how hard life must be for those who's skin color makes them a target.
in high school, mormon kids that wore their suits on "missionary day" got extra points on the English tests. in today's climate, I could have sued the long underwear off of them.
fuck it, why am I even posting here?
I'm going to go back to watching nerds fight over +healing coefficients and multiplicative modifiers now. good day.
