Have your girlfriend dump you. That's what did it for me. I was so pissed off, I threw everything that reminded me of her out my 4th story dorm window. That included the cigarettes I started smoking because she smoked too.
Never went back. Had smoked about six months at that point, so maybe I wasn't terribly addicted.
My girlfriend probably saved my life.
