High On Fire are extremely good live.
I do not consider this to be "redneck music" in the least. It's certainly a far cry from fucking Pantera. Pike's former bandmates from Sleep formed Om, which is pretty damn expansive and cerebral to my ears, and Pike's lyric-writing style is a highly unique form consisting of quick flashes of apocalyptic imagery, often dispensing with standard verse/chorus/hook formula.
Just because it's metal and the guy sweats like crazy and doesn't wear a shirt doesn't automatically mean it's stupid.
