Yeah, Judas Priest, as demonrail points out, is probably the better answer, but again, Black Sabbath with Ozzy just rocks more on the whole.

I's always refreshing to read someone's post when they know their history correctly. Then again, we live in the age of VH-1 specials and so forth, so it isn't terrribly astounding. On the subject of history, who is it that inspired people to want to play the guitar faster and faster in the first place? Why, that's none other than James Marshall Hendrix, who largely honed his craft during time spent in the UK where metal began. And, to this day (and most probably for all time to come) no one plays a guitar better than Jimi.
