the only americans i ever seem to come across when i travel are big fat tourists that don't even try and speak the language of the country they are in. at hotels in both france and germany my partner and i were asked if we were american, obviously we replied no because we are not and the clerks responses were and I quote "das gute das gute" and in france "bonne".
