This week on What's This Called? with your host Ricardo Wang we present a special live in studio performance by L.A./Portland/rest-of-the-world experimental conglomerate Your Drugs My Money!
At the usual time of Noon to 1 PM Pacific Standard (9-10 PM for those in Paris, France!) on Saturday, January 12th we are joined in the KPSU studios by these masters of tape loop drone and synthesized confusion as they prepare to make their way north for to grace the stage later that night at The World Famous Bob's Java Jive!
This special radio/webcast appearance on What's This Called? will of course be STREAMING LIVE RIGHT HERE!
or for the computer challenged in the PDX area...
1450 AM in the Portland OR/Vancouver WA metro area
98.1 FM on the Portland State University campus
Here's a more lengthy description of YDMM from the Anno Domini Gallery:
"Your Drugs My Money is a collective of experimental artists and musicians from Los Angeles. They embrace the utilization of unconventional instruments and eerie undertones, that you could describe as an ambient dirge. This has lead them to journey out of Los Angeles to collaborate with other avant garde artists such as Argumentix and Mattress. Your Drugs My Money is all about exploring new dimensions in the field of sound. The echo's will stretch, and your idea of what music is will be questioned."

Before the YDMM set, the show will begin with a few minutes of noise in honor of the late Michael Griffin of Noggin who passed away earlier this week.
