people who say old men should not have children because they could die at any time are making a specious argument. ANYONE can die at ANYTIME. just because you are young and in full health and happily married does not mean you aren;t gonna die tomorrow, leaving your children all alone, right?
at least he had the means to ensure the kids would be take care of and fed, and schooled, and clothed.
