I would be most likely to believe it was an accident having something to do with sleeping pills or something, seeing as he would have been under a lot of pressure and I can see how he would need sleeping pills in order to get some shut eye so he could be awake for his work but then again I don't know anything about how dangerous they might be if taken in the wrong amounts or anything
