nice one. He's one of my fav painters. yay!

His really highly worked oil paintings don't appeal to me as much, they seem to lose some of their story telling? I much prefer his quick ones.. I think mostly because of the colour? To me his lines are so much more apparent in the high contrast/less worked images, and that is his strong point.

But in any case, his line work is phenominal. Ridiculously calculated, and just in every place the right mark.
