Anyone a fan of this band?

Got into them a few years ago... I actually heard them the day I heard "nurse" for the first time.. I loved get knifed.. lights out has one of the best riffs ever..

Anyway, they kinda disappeared for a few years and they returned with the terribly-named new album "quantum fucking" on les savy fav's record label, french kiss records. All that combined meant that I was fearing the worst, but it's actually really fucking good!!!

Imagine an artier Jesus Lizard that's less restrained but has weirder riffs (taking a page from Beefheart territory at times...). Great record.. For fans of stuff like Drive Like Jehu and such.

Oh, and they're interesting because the guitarist messes up a LOT on the record (the riffs are usually pretty difficult, so it's understandable) but they don't try to fix it or anything and they just keep going. I love shit like that.

OH, and worth reading is the tinymixtapes negative review which makes me question if he's even heard the record:
