A lot of times you can get "real" Miller shell chairs for five bucks at garage sales because people don't know they're valuable and there are a lot of knockoffs that look identical as well. The tattoo chairs I got for free because a tattoo place three blocks from my house was remodeling an throwing them out. The hydraulic one weighs about 300 pounds and they said "if you can move it, you can have it" so I did.
The Miller shell chairs were a gift from Paul Metzger, who I believe picked them up for five bucks at a garage sale. SRSLY.
A lot of furniture can be had for free if you keep your ear to the ground. I have only paid more than 20 dollars for a couple of things in my living room, and one of those things is the fetus model.

EDIT:
The record browsers I got when my friend's storefront shut down and he went all online with his record shop. I helped build those things with him in the first place, so I figure I paid for those in sweat and patience.
