Based on my experience of Naples, the streets are always full of rubbish. The two times I've been there I couldn't leave again quickly enough.
Although one of the times that I went was to watch AS Napoli play Inter Milan, and that was an incredible experience. I went with a bunch of Ultra, and when Napoli went 1-0 up the entire curva just erupted into a cauldron of madness. When it all calmed down the guy who was sat in front of me was unconscious because a load of people had piled on top of one another and he was on the bottom. I spent the rest of the game praying that Napoli wouldn't score again, but they did, and it was just as bad the second time as it had been the first - they even all piled on top of the same bloke again. I wouldn't have minded his near-death too much, except that these people were the folks that I had travelled to the match with.
