my partner has really really really different taste in music to me. He works in stage production an so 90% of what he listens to are musical scores.

Sometimes it drives me mad when I get in the car when he picks me up from somewhere and he has like Tarzan playing super loud or The lion king or sthg. All the hardcore points I've earned standing there looking awesome are instantly blown away.

Other times its really nice to have someone who does listen to something really different, because it gets me to listen to a lot of stuff I wouldn't have otherwise, and really completely enjoy some of it.

He digs some of my music but mostly doesn't understand it. 'It's just noise. where is the orchestral backing? ' etc etc. when I put on Diana ah naid or Catatonia he calls it my lesbian music.. along with a lot of other girl stuff I listen to.

And today I'm trying my hardest to try and get him to come to sonic youth tonight with me so I dont have to ask another one of my friends, who music wise are all guys, and then he'd get jealous anyway.
