My guess from most of your tastes is you would love Perfect From Now On. I absolutely love that album, but thought Keep It Like a Secret was a huge let down as a follow up, for sound exactly like you describe it.

It's funny I play PFNO so much that one night I was listening to On the Beach by Neil Young and my wife said, "Is that Built to Spill?" That was highly amusing.
