besides this fucking CATASTROPHIC FAILURE, there is a 2" band of off-contrast pixels.
it seems that I got a lemon.
the bitch is, I need to make a disc image of the drive because I don't want to have to reinstall and redownload everything.
it's just a big ol' pain in the ass.
