I watched it, not knowing anything about it; thinking it was a exploitation piece. If anything; the film left me with a sense that the filmakers were more interested in every minutiae; scenes were constructed and carried out with exquisite detail; so the suffering becomes more than just a passing regard to the film, it is actually central to the film and is almost overpowering in its palpability. Very sick and very twisted. Which may, or may not be; neccessarily without merit.
