Text in red is the key. The stuff doesn't exist.
I'm guessing you have a fairly small budget.
Stay away from - behringer, and alto gear it is noisy
for ok compressors at a cheap price I would go for DBX ones. DBX have been making pro audio gear for along time and decided to combat the likes of behringer and alto with their own product and industry knowledge. Their cheap gear is ok but it you want good you may only be able to buy one piece of gear. The DBX comps have gating.
I would go an avalon pre (which has compression) these are aprrox $4000au per channel. Or focusrite do some great ones for around the $2000au mark.
Drawmer make the best gates you can get.
Reverb I'm assuming you want something fairly easily rack mountable.
If you can find second hand go for a yamaha spx 990 or spx 1000. These can be noisy if you don't know how to set them up properly. Otherwise look for Lexicon pcm70 or pcm90 secondhand. If you are lucky and come across a lexicon224 for sale for under $2000 secondhand buy it.
In reality if you are just a hobbyist I would say use plugins instead, they will be far less headfuck than trying to run a heap of outboard gear that you may not understand.
As for your question on how do the compressors plug. If you have a desk I would recommend DI'ing the guitar and then inserting the compressor/gate over the channel that you have the DI going to. This will give you alot more control over the gain / eq/ gate / compression.
I'm not sure you understand why you want or need rack gear though.
