there is no common ground, musically between me and my parents. but thats the case with everyone i know, it doesnt matter at all.
a recent attempt was to give to my father the red violin soundtrack, but he found it too dark and heavy. he told me that he is too old to deal with such music, emotionally and musically. boohoo

My dad overall listens to good, if only ever highly melodic, jazz. However, one time I was at his house and caught him listening to Van Halen with Sammy Hagar singing. That was truly horrifying.
