Albert Hofmann, the Swiss chemist who discovered the hallucinogenic drug LSD, has died of a heart attack at his home in Basel at the age of 102.

Goodbye Albert.
Many many thanks.

I think that the bigger news was that motherfucker was still alive! have you read his book about the discovery of LSD? as a drug, it is novelty, the naturally occurring versions of "hallucinogens" are much more important and long established as part of human culture. However, what is interesting to me about LSD is the sheer potency of the chemical to act on human beings. there is no other more active a substance at such miniscule amounts, its insane to contemplate, a 55 gallon drum of pure LSD-25 is something like 44,000,000,000 active doses of the chemical.
