usually such events occur during the dying phase of a relationship-- sort of like a wake-up call.

my pattern used to be 6 months of honeymoon insanity, 6 months plateau, 6 months to break up. later as things went past that length of time the temptations were stronger. though it's happened as soon as 6 months into catastrophic relationships.

anyway, i don't recommend people follow my example or anything. it's just my contribution to the board's frequent confessional threads and in these matters i'm not embarrassed of telling it like it was because i'm not "outing" anyone or their private information.
