The apocryphal book of The Gospel of St. Thomas that has been supressed for ages is your proof. It predates the other four gospels & is not included in any Holy Bible. It's the missing link, as it were.
John the Baptist maligns Thomas as "the doubter" in his account as you may know. Maybe that's because Thomas knew too much. At any rate, philosophy, & indeed any real belief & true faith,
must begin with doubt.
