The thing that amazes me about loads of offices is that there are always things that are done because they've always been done. 'Why do you print that report every morning (20 pages)'. 'That? We've always done that'. 'But why?'. 'We need to keep a hard copy'. 'Why?' 'So we have a record of it'... This extends to people doing whole jobs, whole departments and, in the case of PR, whole companies where people are paid and
no-one knows what they do or why.
