one thing i find really impressive is that in Papua New Guinea which probably have a couple of tribes of their own that are isolated have over 800 indigenous different languages spoken on the island, and haven't died out due to the prevelance of english or the other more widely spoken languages of the island

and i have wondered if there were many if any left in the world, outside of the amazon where would they be found?
