acdc518, I dunno if it really took the series back to its roots persé, it seemed to be about on the same level as Land of the Dead in its depiction of the zombie apocalypse (and it still used Romero's favorite metaphor he's been using for the last few movies: WE ARE THE ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
I take horror movies seriously because they're important to me, I've spent thousands of hours of my life watching them.
Personally, I say fuck Romero, everyone should watch Braindead/Dead Alive instead.
